Yes they are, but this time they appear to be part of the story. Moogles have had different forms throughout the whole series. I wouldn't be surprised to discover that there are different kind of moogles.

By the way I've just realized that you live in the same country I do, welcome Big Grin.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII-2 E3 Trailer
Not really, moogles differ in the Final Fantasy VII compilation as well. Take a look at these screenshots:

The moogle in Advent Children is different from that of the original Final Fantasy VII. Notice that in Final Fantasy VII, the moogle doesn't have its red antenna.

RE: Final Fantasy XIII-2 E3 Trailer
ahh the curse of moogles being absent from ff 13.
if i get more time i'll post a brief summary here for you. if you see this before then i suggest ff wiki. the're one of the most adorable ff creatures in the whole game. alongside chocobos, bombs, tonberries and cactuars

also there seems to be an NA release date now

edit:
as you may have already seen moogles are friendly creatures often occuring in final fantasy games. final fantasy 13 only appear in the moogleworks shop so they weren't given that much importance. sometimes they occur as shops, save points, summons etc. Their traits can vary from their chubbyness or their bonbons.
i'd say the typical moogle is something like this:

whereas they may vary and even be like this:

or like this

Thanks for the information. Hopefully the date of the European release will be the same as the American one.
