I have always wondered why there are still monkeys if humans evolved from monkeys. I mean were some of the monkeys just slower than others? And if so does that mean that we will get like a new race of humans down the road when the slow monkeys catch up to the mokeys that have already evolved a.k.a kumans? It just is so confusing to me.

yes it is confusing and interesting question. Once i pondered about too but until the time comes probably I wouldn't be here lol

The theory isn't really that we've evolved from the monkeys as we know them. When they say monkeys, as far as I know, they're just talking about extremely primitive versions of humans. Monkeys is used becuase they're the closest physical relatives to humans. There aren't many differences between us.

It's possible. Creatures evolve to adapt themselves to the environment.

You'd obviously first have to believe in the theory of evolution, for starters =P I'd say it's possible, but not very probable. If the world were to start to really heat up and turn into a large jungle or forest, we may not have a choice but to devolve back to monkeys. Not as though we'd have a say in the matter, anyway.
